i'm looking for a decent DVD player that can play DVD+DL, and DVD+R discs. Any links to dvd player reviews or personal experience would be helpful (please, only models that i can buy new over the web). thank you so much!

Will Blu-Ray DVD player play…?
Will it be able to play American dvd's normally in Europe? and by normally I mean being able to be seen and heard-no problems or complications?
I know they use PAL there and the one I got my boyfriend only plays dvd's for the U.S. so I was wondering if I got him an American dvd to go along with it, will that play there perfectly? or no?

What formats can a dvd player play?
I have a coworker who sells movies that he gets from torrent site and says that dvd players can play avi video format.
Before I make a dvd of a movie I need to know what formats (i would like to know them all please) any run of the mill dvd players can play?
